While card is acceptable in most tourist hotspots, cash is more widely used in Egypt. We recommend bringing Egyptian Pounds, especially for taxis and smaller vendors.

There are many options for hotels in Hurghada and Cairo. We've arranged a discount for our guests at Baron Palace (see the accommodation section for further details), but you are free to choose wherever you may wish to stay.

Taxis/Ubers are readily available at the airport and across the city, or your hotel can facilitate transportation. Make sure you have cash on hand as most taxis will not take card payments.
